Safety First
Score: 15 - 22
While your assessment score probably wasn’t as high as you might’ve desired, your rise upwards can be found on the other side of fear. Finding the source of this fear will be a worthy challenge for you throughout your journey through season one. In other words, something is holding back your willingness to engage. Find it.
Later in this season, we will be comparing emotional understanding to that of Maslow’s Hierarchy, and showcasing how a rise in emotional understanding correlates to a rise on Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs. That discussion will come in time. For the time being, and knowing that correlation will be made later, if we were to position your score within the hierarchy, you would fall just below center in a region known as Safety, and that can relate to personal security, emotional security, financial security, and overall health and well-being.
Advice for Your Journey: Challenge your comfort zone by leading conversations, digging into ideas that spark doubt and discomfort, and engaging with individuals that share a differing perspective. And after you’ve done all that? Find the value. Do this, and your mindset will be elevated to levels you didn’t realize exist.
